Irish Genealogy is notoriously difficult with so many records being lost in the Easter Rising of 1916 and the protracted civil war of the early 1920s.

I found this website and thought I would share it with you as it is a very good place to start. There are so many traps for young players trying to find out any information about Irish ancestors and this website compiled by Clair Santry is a fantastic resource which helps you work your way through the minefield of records, parish registers and the civil registration system. A fantastic resource and well worth a good look before you start your quest.
