Hand crafted in Helensburgh, West Scotland within sight of the bonny banks of Loch Lomond, this sgian dubh is made from authentic red deer antler or roe deer antler. Beautiful finish to the handle with a flattened side for ease of wear.
Carbon Nicol Damascus steel blade. The steel is characterized by distinctive patterns of banding and mottling reminiscent of flowing water, sometimes in a "ladder" or "rose" pattern. Historically, these blades were reputed to be tough, resistant to shattering, and capable of being honed to a sharp, resilient edge.
Each sgian dubh comes complete with a grade one leather sheath with Celtic design, a card, and a beautiful green presentation box embossed with a stags head.
