Sporrans

There are three styles of Sporran and each is worn on different occasions and to suit the wearer's preference.

A Day Sporran is usually made of plain leather and has a simple style of closing using either a draw string or an envelope style fastening. Worn during the day (Highland Games etc.) or for country walks or maybe dancing.

A Semi Dress Sporran also has an envelope fastening but will have additional ornamentation, maybe some fur or Celtic knotwork applied to the leather and can be worn during the day or for evening functions if the wearer doesn't like the look or feel of a full dress sporran. Also good for Scottish Country Dancing as they are not too heavy.

A Full Dress Sporran is an oval shape and the front will be completely fur covered with an ornamental top (cantle). Worn at night or ceremonial functions, weddings etc.

All sporrans shown here are in stock, in Wellington, for immediate delivery.
