These jig shoes have historically included a greenhide sole. The world has now run out of greenhide, so PW Dancewear have been working on producing a greenhide leather alternative that sounds the same as greenhide.
The shoes with the composite leather are now being introduced and so we will have a mixture of both soles until the greenhide soles have run out. Buckles and Heel and Toe Plates now included!!
NB: These are for New Zealand Academy Highland dancing. They are not worn for the Highland S.O.B style danced in the rest of the world. They are not for Irish dancing.
